Sensory Processing Assessment

Children who show challenging behaviours from frequent outbursts such as biting, hitting along with unpredictable responses to different environments, often have underlying sensory processing difficulties. These youngsters may display high levels of anxiety, be easily distressed or appear very unmotivated and difficult to engage. Some children may also be extremely sensory seeking and very difficult to engage for any length of time.

The aim:

If these behaviours are analysed and fully understood it equips staff with knowledge, programmes and sensory tools to diminish inappropriate behaviours and promote a more positive individual who will progress more effectively in nursery.

Our therapists at Tree Tops are passionate about working with educational staff to grow their knowledge and skills. School staff will be trained and supported when learning to work with children affected by sensory and motor difficulties to integrate the programmes designed for them.
