Roots Hairdressing Salon – Autism Friendly Sunday’s

Thanks to Jemma for coming along to the group during the summer and explaining how she came to open her salon on a Sunday for children who dislike having their hair cut.  Jemma said, “Even if it takes a few visits to the salon, that’s fine.  We keep the lighting down, no music and just encourage the children to feel comfortable before cutting their hair.”

Several of the group have now taken their children to Roots and cannot speak highly of Jemma and how she makes the children feel confident to then have a hair cut.
