Junior Kitchen Afternoon
The group went to Junior Kitchen, Darlington today. This session was to help with learning to bake and cook – a fabulous hands on experience, making baking fun and not forgetting team spirit and enjoying the food at the end! It was a chance for our children to have a go at making their own tea. Fabulous independence skills!
What did it do for our children?
Not only was it fun but great for our sensory children in that it aided proprioception (ie calming). Some of the children even tried some foods for the first time.
What did they provide at Junior Kitchen?
All ingredients to make our Pizzas and muffins. Aprons were at the ready! Washing our hands was a must.
All in all it was a fabulous afternoon with the aroma wafting around Darlington!!
