A Day in the Life of…. Ellen

Hi, my name is Ellen!

I’m one of the Occupational Therapists here at Tree Tops. I joined Tree Tops in August 2017 after graduating from Teesside University.

I first got into occupational therapy after seeing them in action from visiting places such as a children’s cancer ward, working as a health care assistant in secure mental health units and nursing homes, day centres garden centre placements and care farms.

I have become very passionate about empowering others through creative outlets. As everyone will tell you, I’m very into all things outdoorsy and being creative…. I love getting stuck in!… and I certainly get to do that here at Tree Tops!

Children and their families are at the heart of what we do here. I work in both the clinic and in schools. Every day I get to dream up new fun activities to engage the imagination of children of all ages who have very varied needs.

I am loving my time here at Tree Tops and can’t believe I have been here almost a year!
