Tip of the week!
Improve your child’s grip strength:-
Try using a three finger grasp (thumb, index finger, and middle finger). Use a clothes peg and pinch the peg open (this builds up strength in the fingers).
Get your child to pick up some pom poms and drop them in a container (making it into a game). If they are coloured pom poms they can practice colour recognition at the same time.
Anything can be used to pick up, even plastic animals, sweets (always goes down well).
Have a go but also make it fun!
